Dear Girl Stories with Hiroshi Kamiya and Daisuke Ono, broadcast on Saturday, June 21
Hello everyone! This is your enthusiastic writer specializing in radio sound cut-outs and transcripts, ready to go today!
This time, I’m bringing you a condensed summary of the popular radio program “Kamiya Hiroshi & Ono Daisuke’s Dear Girl ~Stories~"! From new theme song CD information to a surprising “hem alteration project," it was packed with highlights!
✨Program’s New Theme Song CD “Theater Paradise" Finally Nears Release!
First, the best news for listeners! The CD for the program’s new theme song, “Theater Paradise," is set to be released on June 27th! It’s coming very soon!
This CD includes the new opening theme “Theater Paradise" and the ending theme “Futari Goto," and additionally, it features an extra track, “Bunka Hoso Extend Social Studies Field Trip 2025"! There’s no doubt about it, expectations are high!
The personalities, Kamiya-san and Ono-san, are apparently wearing “some kind of flashy, incomprehensible costumes" for the CD jacket! It seems the stylist got a bit carried away, and Kamiya-san mentioned that Ono-san’s sparkly setup “strangely suited him" in particular. Ono-san himself felt a strong “sense of being dressed up," but the cameraman also told him, “You suited it too!" They joked, “It’s not scary if two of us wear it together" (lol).
Kamiya-san emphasized that he wants listeners to read the lyrics carefully and fully appreciate what kind of song it is. Ono-san stated that this song feels like it’s “packed with more dreams and love than ever before." And the lyric Kamiya-san particularly likes is the part Ono-san sings: “Connecting jokes and romance in a medley." He said it’s a lyric that symbolizes the show, as “we’ve been doing the radio like that all this time."
This CD is currently available for pre-order at Animate and Extend Shop. As a purchase bonus, Animate offers a poster, and Extend Shop offers a bromide, so everyone, be sure to check it out!
Listeners sent in an episode about pre-ordering the CD at Animate, where the staff member reacted with, “Oh, it’s the DGS CD, isn’t it!" and even said, “Open End is good too, isn’t it! I’ve pre-ordered it too!" It was a heartwarming moment, realizing that there are “Dear Boys" all across the country.
🏕️DGS Camp 2025 Confirmed for Kumamoto Too!
DGS fan meeting “DGS Camp 2025" will be held on Sunday, August 24th, with two performances (day and night) at Kumamoto Civic Hall Sears Home Yume Hall! Official site advance ticket reservations are currently being accepted! The deadline is Sunday, June 30th, at 12 PM, so if you haven’t yet, hurry! Furthermore, DGS Camp 2025 merchandise mail order is also open! Please check the Extend Shop for details!
During this broadcast, a listener’s email about DGS Camp merchandise was introduced! A passionate message arrived saying, “Many goods have been born from DGS until now, but I think this time’s merchandise is the cutest!" The tote bag was a particular favorite, described as “extremely cute in color and texture" and well-suited for daily use.
Here, a listener asked, “When using the tote bag as a backpack, is it correct to thread the string through all the holes and carry it like a drawstring bag?" In the program, Ono-san actually demonstrated how to wear it using the real item! The result was that the correct way to wear it as a backpack is to “not thread through the top two loops, but through the bottom two, and then thread one string through the metal fitting at the opening." So, a total of three fittings are used! The size is quite large, enough to fit more than a basketball! However, one of the outer pockets is wide open, so they warned, “You’ll get pickpocketed!" if you put things in it (lol). If you’ve purchased it, please send in examples of how you’re using it, like “This is how I’m using it!" to the program!
👖A Surprising “Futsu-Sto"! Real-time Hemming Challenge!
In the “Futsu-Sto" (Ordinary Story) segment, where ordinary stories are introduced, a listener sent in a problem about their pants being too long due to their short height, making them easily soiled on rainy days.
Kamiya-san and Ono-san’s initial response was a simple, “Just hem them!" but then it devolved into a circular argument: “It’s a hassle if you forget to do it when you buy them" and “It’s a hassle, so just do it when you buy them." Then, a surprising development! “You find it a hassle, right? Then let us take the lead and do it!" they declared, deciding to hem pants in real-time using a sewing machine! It just so happened that there were two staff members who wanted their pants hemmed, so they decided to hem Uki-kun’s and Takase-san’s pants on the spot! (Takase-san replied immediately, but Uki-kun reportedly hesitated slightly, lol). After Ono-san measured the length with a tape measure and decided on the inseam, they surprisingly asked the staff members to take off their pants! The cameras were rolling too, and Kamiya-san called it “Bis! (Service!)" (lol).
The actual hemming process was a series of hilariously clumsy plays!
- Ono-san boasted that he was “doing it by feel" and even tried to cut with scissors without measuring.
- Even at the point of ironing, Kamiya-san retorted, “You don’t use an iron, do you?"
- And then to the sewing machine! Ono-san was using a foot-pedal sewing machine for the first time, but he couldn’t sew straight!
- Furthermore, there was a series of mishaps, such as trying to sew without threading the needle and accidentally sewing in different fabric!
- Ultimately, in a shocking turn of events, an extra piece of fabric was somehow sewn onto one of Uki-kun’s pant hems! Ono-san tried to cover it up by saying, “Because he rides a bicycle," “It looks distressed," or “It’s like Margiela," but Kamiya-san coined it “Zenteki Men-Ono-Jera!" (Completely Men’s Ono-Jera) (lol).
- Ono-san also criticized Kamiya-san’s completed pants, saying, “If you look closely, the craftsmanship is very poor," and “the thread is sticking out a bit."
Nevertheless, both pairs of pants were somehow “completed." They encouraged the listener, saying, “Since we could do it, please try your best too. Sewing machines are surprisingly fun." By the way, detailed photos, including Ono-san’s “complete avant-garde masterpiece," will be uploaded to the DGS website, so be sure to check them out!
🎤Get DGS Famous Quotes! “Dear Voice"
In the “Dear Voice" segment, they collect famous quotes born from the program and lines listeners want them to say, then distribute them on “Dear Girl," a smartphone site for girls on Animate Mix!
This week, Ono-san’s voice was distributed! Requested by Yumeko-san, the line was: “It’s fine. It’s really good. I’ll give you 10,000 yen."! This line is apparently from “Ura Danwashitsu" (Back Talk Room) in Episode 947. Kamiya-san joked, “When he was doing 'Sugar Daddy activities’," but Ono-san immediately denied it (lol). Kamiya-san’s voice is scheduled for distribution next week, so look forward to it!
In Closing
This broadcast, too, was full of DGS-ならでは (unique to DGS) mishaps, and the 30 minutes flew by! Who would have thought a real-time hem alteration project would unfold on the radio… (lol). Everyone, please do check out the photos on the program’s website to see Ono-san’s innovative design (?)!
DGS continues to eagerly await messages from all of you! For more details, check the official website, Niconico DGS Channel, and Animate Mix!
